I first got involved in photography about 12 years ago when I got my first 35mm film camera and, after a few digital SLR's I now shoot exclusively with a Canon 5D camera. I consider myself an amateur photographer with a passion for nature in all its elements. I live in the quiet community of Komoka, Ontario with my husband Charlie and our two dogs Simba and Cooper. Our property has many gardens and backs onto a small pond which allows me an exceptional opportunity to photograph many species of waterfowl and their young from Spring through Autumn. My love of birds grew out of my husbands banding of birds of prey at Hawk Cliff on the north shore of Lake Erie and the generosity of all the banders at Hawk Cliff Raptor Banding Station. My photography of the raptors and the ability to get up close and personal with these majestic birds has deepened my appreciation of birds of all species. By participating in Project Feederwatch for the past 10 years I have tried to capture the uniqueness of each species which visits my feeders. I have lived all my life in Southwestern Ontario and travelled extensively throughout the area, I have developed a great passion for the elegant landscapes of this magnificent area and the diversity of its wildlife. Without the genuine support of my family and friends this website
would not be possible and I hope you will enjoy the beauty I have tried
to capture. Please visit my contact page with any questions or comments. |
